Reservation and Cancellation Policies

RESERVATION POLICIES:

1. Please read description each tour.
2. To carry out our adventure activities, we require that each client signs the waiver of the tour. Persons under 18 years, must complete the information, but their parents or guardians, must to sing the waiver.
3. We operate this tour with a minimum of 2 people arriving at our operations center in Siquirres or Turrialba at no additional charge. Some restrictions may apply.
4. We provide the Multi-Destination service departing from the following points: San José, La Fortuna and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca with an additional charge depending on your location and the number of participants. Some restrictions may apply.
5. If you paid an additional charge for transfer at the time of your reservation, and at the time of the trip, five or more people go in the trip transportation, this amount will be reimbursed in cash, at our operations center in Siquirres, at the end of the trip.
6. Reservation method: To book at Rios Adventure Travel it is necessary to pay 50% of the total amount of your reservation.
7. Payment method: Ríos Adventure Travel will send you a payment link through PayPal.
8. Once payment is received, your reservation will be confirmed with a confirmation Voucher and reservation number.
9. The remaining 50% of your reservation must be received 72 hours before the day of your trip and notify info@riosadventure.com.
10. If at the time of making your reservation, you want to pay in full for your reservation, there is no problem.
11. If you require our transfer services, please indicate the place to pick up and then drop off.
12. Important information: For a better service and a pleasant trip, please inform us of any important physical conditions and dietary restrictions.
13. Right of admission reserved with people under the alcohol influence, drugs, disrespectful or aggressive attitude, that not respecting safety regulations.
14. Health conditions: You must be in good health to go on Rios Adventure Travel trips. Pregnant women and people with recent surgeries, injuries, or health conditions that compromise their physical performance should consult their doctor before booking any trip with us.
15. COVID-19 protocols: As a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Costa Rican Ministry of Health has defined sanitary measures for commercial tourism operations, including facemask usage, social distancing, and disinfection practices. Going even further, Ríos Adventure Travel has developed its own additional health protocol and sanitary measures for managing its services. These protocols are continually updated to be able to respond at all times to changing needs and guidelines. We are fortunate to practice an adventure activity outdoors in the wilderness, which allows us to better serve our guests’ health and safety.
16. The Government of Costa Rica has added a 13% sales tax to tourism services, including rafting trips, other tours, and transfers.

CANCELLATION OR CHANGES POLICIES:

1. To cancel your reservation and apply for a 100# refund, it is necessary to notify info@riosadventure.com with NO less than 72 hours prior to the day of your reservation.
2. Once the tour has started normally and there is a natural incident, beyond our control, and we must cancel the rest of the tour for security reasons, THERE IS NO REFUND. At Rios Adventure Travel, we care about your safety and maintain a clear and strict protocol on high water levels. We do not hesitate to cancel rafting trips when river water levels are unsafe. Guests staying at the ecolodge at the Pacuare River have multiple hiking routes to leave if water levels are too high to continue rafting. All guides are trained in evacuation routes along the Pacuare River in case of an emergency.
3. Upon arrival at the set point to pick up, a maximum of 10 minutes will be waited, if the client does not show up, it will be considered a NO SHOW and NO type of refund will be refunded.
4. THERE IS NO REFUND FOR NO SHOW.
