Get ready to enjoy 10 miles (17 kilometers) of great and exciting Class 2-3 rapids in the Florida section of the Reventazón river that are fun for first-timers or those wanting a less intense rafting experience. In the lower section class III, is perfect for families whit children between 7 and 10 years old. The Reventazón River was the first river used for commercial rafting trips in Costa Rica, and it is the longest river in the Caribbean region. There is always plenty of water for rafting all year long because the river is dam controlled.

This wonderful introduction to whitewater rafting gives you two hours of fun on the river, and with a minimum age of 10 years old in the Florida section. It’s a great trip for families! Our internationally-certified, bilingual rafting guides will steer you through the lively rapids as you flow down the breathtaking Reventazón Valley. Look for toucans, kingfishers, herons, tanagers, iguanas and emerald basilisks along the way.

We know you’ll have worked up an appetite while rafting, so when you finish, we’ll have a delicious lunch waiting for you at our lunch Point in the Calypso restaurant. There, you can buy a cold drink at Calypso bar (additional cost), take shower and change clothes before you take the bus to your next destination.
